When Was The Last Time You Had Your Hearing Tested?
We all regularly have yearly physicians, regular dental appointments, and annual blood pressure tests, yet hardly any of us regularly test our hearing.
One of our biggest frustrations as hearing specialists is that we often spend far too much of our time caring for patients when it’s too late – with studies suggesting that the average person waits seven years from noticing first signs of a hearing loss to having their first hearing test, their level of hearing loss gradually worsens throughout this period.
But if they would have acted on the first signs of hearing loss and had their hearing tested right away, we could have done something about it and helped.
We’re living in a world that is becoming increasingly nosier – from being exposed to louder music through headphones than ever before to sporting events and hobbies – as a result, a new report from the National Institute of Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) approximates that 28.8 million adults in the United States have some type of hearing loss.
If you believe that you or a loved one are experiencing signs of hearing loss, whether struggling to hear conversations in noisy environments or needing to have the television louder than those around you, then be sure to schedule a hearing test as soon as possible.
Please ensure you do not fall into the statistic of waiting years to act on your hearing loss. Call us today at 781-863-8282.

What Happens at a Hearing Test?
#1 - The World's Friendliest Welcome (With Chocolate)
You’re welcomed into our office by our welcoming and friendly staff – you’ll be able to sit down in our waiting room to complete a short questionnaire while we make you a drink and you can choose from our selection of chocolates.
#2- Let's Get to Know Each Other
We’ll have a relaxed conversation as we get to know you, your interests, what your lifestyle looks like, and the reasons that you have visited us for a hearing test.
#3 - We'll Conduct Your Hearing Test
You’ll then wear some headphones as we play a variety of frequencies – all you have to do is press a button when the tone is heard – this allows us to determine what you can hear and what you cannot hear,
#4 - Let's Discuss The Results
We’ll then be able to share the results of your hearing test and if a hearing loss is found, then we’ll share your next steps and our recommendations – all in a relaxed, pressure-free environment where we’re on your side.
